Terry Alve of iCare Resources offers you some of the fruits of his rich experience as a husband, parish minister, spiritual director and ministry supervisor, father and grandfather.
Over the years Terry has lived through the death of close family, serious accident and illness and deep disappointment. The combined effect of these and other life experiences has equipped Terry well to walk alongside you as a spiritual companion, listener, retreat director and wise (pastoral) counsellor.
This website offers you a few resources and some ways you might engage with Terry.
In essence, Terry seeks to be there for You with understanding, empathy and wisdom.
In particular, these questions may help you to decide if Terry might be a person to journey with for a season.
Terry offers you a FREE introductory session of up to one hour.
Discerning the Way
Discerning the way forward sometimes invites us to find support from another, or a group, who is there for us. This companionship can take various forms. It can last for a few, short sessions or longer term. iCare offers external Ministry Support or 'Supervision' and Spiritual Companioning or 'Direction'. Retreats are also offered.
These disciplines are offered by qualified mentors who attend ongoing retreats and training events themselves. We also offer contemplative prayer resources.

iCare offers a range of Christian ministry services. We are particularly concerned to support ministers wanting a break or release from their ministry unit for other ministry or leave. We also offer marriage and relationship support and wedding services. We are available for funeral services and offer bereavement support.
Pastoral Care & Counsel
"Good Mates!" is a bronze statue near the Shrine of Remembrance off St Kilda Road, Melbourne.
This depiction of camaraderie and mutual support exemplified during the 1st World War by the Diggers, reminds us how much we are dependent on one another.
iCare offers Pastoral Care and Counselling services. While these services are usually provided by a local church or spiritual group, seeking them from others can sometimes be helpful. Referral to a qualified, professionally trained Counsellor is available if needed. Our inspirational resources may also interest you.
